How We Support and Inform

The Alzheimer's Disease Resource Center provides a variety of programs and services for people with Alzheimer's Disease or for families, direct care professionals and health care professionals. Our programs include the following:

  • a toll-free service, available 24 hours a day, seven days
  • hours of education, service, and support
  • an Alzheimer's Disease Resource Center library and resource center

Answering Your Questions

The Alzheimer's Disease Resource Center staff and volunteers can provide answers to your questions about Alzheimer's-related issues:

  • Alzheimer's disease and related disorders
  • medications and other treatments
  • keys to providing quality care
  • stress and lifestyle management information
  • legal decisions
  • Information related to your Medicare and Medicaid benefits
  • services and programs within your community
  • information related to the safety of those with Alzheimer's

Advocate

The Alzheimer's Disease Resource Center represents all of those who are affected by Alzheimer's disease or those who are in direct care of those with Alzheimer's disease. We advocate the following:

  • increasing federal research funds
  • improving Medicare
  • affordable long-term care

Financial information

The Alzheimer's Disease Resource Center is a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our programs and services are only available because of those who donate. Use of funds raised for programs, services and research efforts are reported and viewable in an our annual tax information.

Please note, Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center, Inc.(ADRC), formerly known as the Alzheimer’s Association Long Island Chapter, separated from the National Alzheimer’s Association in October 2012. Through an Arbitration process ADRC has been awarded all of its assets – tangible and intangible. ADRC continues to operate under its original Federal ID number and has been issued its own IRS Determination letter under that Federal ID number. ADRC’s original NYS Articles of Incorporation have been amended to reflect our new name and ADRC continues to hold its original NYS Tax Exemption number.
