16th Annual West End Walk for Alzheimer's & Fall Festival

Dear friend,

As many of you know our loving Mom, GrandMa, Great-GrandMa, Sister, Aunt and Friend Olga has been living with Alzheimer's for almost 9 years now. The happy, energetic, friendly, proud, and caring Olga that we all know and love is 97 and communicates only through her rare smile, staring eyes and tight hand grip!  The pep in her step that she was so proud of for a woman of her age is gone ... but her presence lets us know that she is content.  Olga always was there for us whether it was as a spectator, a cook, or simply a helping hand, to support everyone else's needs and now she needs our support. Her family and friends are walking to beat this terrible disease and support those who are dealing with Alzheimer's ... We would love for you to join us, but if you can't, please support our cause with a donation.  We are hoping that by participating in this walk will help Olga's friends and family avoid having to navigate this devastating disease in their loved ones.

Today, there are over 5.4 million people with Alzheimer's disease and today, we have no cure for Alzheimer's Disease. It is estimated that by the year 2050 we could have somewhere between 14 and 16 million individuals diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease; one in eight Baby Boomers is at risk for getting this devastating disease. Approximately 200,000 individuals in this country who are under the age of 65 have a diagnosis of Alzheimer's Disease.

On 09/08/18, I will be Walking For Alzheimer's. The proceeds from this Walk will provide valuable resources needed to support local research projects, as well as programs and services provided to local families through the Alzheimer's Disease Resource Center, home of the Mickey & Felice Neuwirth Care Center.

We are making a difference by participating in the Walk For Alzheimer's and Team OLGA.  We would like to invite you to join our team and help raise funds and awareness so that one day we will have world that is free from the devastating effects of this dreadful disease.  If you can’t join Team OLGA, please consider making a donation on my fundraising page to help create A Future Free From Alzheimer's! Our Team goal is $3000 and my individual goal is $1500.

TOGETHER - YOU AND TEAM OLGA CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE - JOIN OR SUPPORT US TODAY!

Thank you for supporting me! Go out and make it a great day!
