Volunteer

Our volunteers are valued and vital to achieving our mission: to provide care, support, and education programs for families in need, and to be advocates for local families coping with Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementias.

We’re delighted to work with people who want to make a real difference for Long Island families. ADRC offers many diverse opportunities for you to contribute your time and talents to help others.

Meet ADRC Volunteer, Tom Dillon.

Tom served as his wife Kay’s primary caregiver for the six years she struggled with Alzheimer’s disease.

During that difficult time, he regularly attended ADRC support groups to help him cope.  Following her passing, Tom began volunteering with ADRC.

His understanding and experience as a caregiver make a real difference to our program participants.
